The Food Safety Professionals Association was set up in 2007 and is the premier group of Food Safety specialists in Ireland.

The Food Safety Professionals Association have agreed their Quality Assurance procedures with FETAC and now operate a FETAC registered centre offering food safety and hygiene programmes leading to FETAC awards at levels 4 and 5 on the National Framework of Qualifiactions

The conference was well attended and focussed on Allergy control and cross contamination issues. Also on the day Tom Doorley the journalist and food critic was on hand to present Food Safety Assurance awards to five very committed businesses. Tom spoke about food safety and stated in a quote to the Journal.ie
